Dear Residents,
Freeze warning for Monday - Wednesday with temperatures in the 20's and 30's.
Open a faucet to allow water to flow through pipes; at least 1 inside faucet should constantly drip. Water temperature should be lukewarm (combination of hot & cold pipes); the drip should be the width of a matchstick.
Open cabinet doors under sinks, allowing heat to enter the area around the pipes.
Disconnect garden hoses to outside water spigots. Plumbing along perimeter walls or in unheated areas like garages, are especially susceptible to freeze damage.
Set thermostats at 55* degrees if you are going away from home for an extended period of time.
If a pipe breaks, immediately turn off all water to your unit. Learn now where the main water shut off valve is located.
