What is the purpose of Endometriosis Fighters of Georgia?

I created this nonprofit based on seeing the very real need of women with endometriosis and other reproductive diseases, who do not have the financial means to gain access to the gold standard treatment for Endometriosis. So many women do not have Medical insurance or even the knowledge of what treatments are out there and which doctors to choose. I've had this need for years myself. As of right now, Endometriosis Fighters of Georgia is an official nonprofit through the state of Georgia and we are currently working on the 501c3 through the IRS. Once we obtain that, the goal is to host fundraisers and educational events to raise money and raise awareness. We also are a Facebook based support group for women to lean on each other, ask questions, and to be around other women who know what they are going through. I honestly believe once we get over the speed bumps, we will be able to assist paying for surgeries and even help when a sister is struggling to pay bills from missing work due to health reasons.
