It’s been said that sometimes incarceration can be the time when one finally takes the time to do self reflection. It can be a time to make serious plans for better life outcomes. It can be also a time to educate oneself on how to move forward by using the tools/education opportunities provided. These pictures reflect all of the above statements. Douglas County Sheriff Office Reentry program offer 2 Substance Abuse Courses. The first one is “Taking the High Road” which is education of drugs from how it affects the body, history and how one becomes addicted. The second course is “Staying Quit” making plans to quit and reality look on benefits outcomes versus the consequences outcomes if one doesn’t. We celebrate our students when they complete both courses. Our prayers, hopes and desires that each graduate live an addiction free life. There are many invested in reentry which also includes the highest levels of the Sheriff Department
