The 100 Black Men of Douglasville would like to thank Atlanta News First for covering our first inaugural FORGE Academy graduation. It is important that we continue to highlight the positive impact mentoring has on our youth when dedicated mentors and parents invest their time, effort, and guidance into the next generation.
This celebration was more than a graduation — it was a reflection of what mentorship, leadership, and community support can accomplish together. We are proud of our mentee graduates and thankful to everyone who helped make this vision a reality.

WHAT A DAY. 🎓🖤💛

Forge Academy Graduation 2025–2026 was a tremendous success! Full house, powerful moments, and unforgettable impact.

Our young men represented themselves with excellence, confidence, and growth. To every mentor, parent, volunteer, committee member, and supporter — thank you for helping make this vision a reality.

This was more than a ceremony… this was legacy in motion.

One Brotherhood. One Mission. One Legacy.

The 100 Black Men of Douglasville continues its commitment to mentoring and leadership development through its signature youth initiative, Forge Academy — a structured mentoring and enrichment program designed to empower young men in grades 6–8. Built around the theme “Forging Minds. Building Futures. Creating Legacy,” the program focuses on leadership development, academic excellence, financial literacy, cultural awareness, civic engagement, and career exposure. Through twice-monthly sessions, students participate in hands-on learning experiences, mentorship, public speaking development, entrepreneurship activities, technology exposure, and community service projects designed to prepare them for success in school and life.

This year, Forge Academy celebrated significant growth and impact, including strong student engagement, community partnerships, financial literacy training through the Wells Fargo Hands on Banking curriculum, STEM exposure opportunities, leadership showcases, and service initiatives throughout Douglas County. The program recently celebrated its annual graduation and recognition ceremony, honoring students for their commitment, personal growth, and leadership development throughout the year. Chapter leaders emphasized that Forge Academy is more than a mentoring program — it is a pipeline for developing future leaders, professionals, entrepreneurs, and changemakers within the community.

Today, Douglas County Partners In Education held their year-end celebration, and what a remarkable year it has been!

This event gave everyone the opportunity to learn about the incredible accomplishments PIE has achieved over the past year—making a real difference in our schools and community.

A special highlight of the celebration was honoring the Partners of Excellence and recognizing the Ambassador of the Year. These individuals and organizations continue to go above and beyond, setting the standard for service, commitment, and impact.

Moments like this remind us what’s possible when a community comes together with a shared purpose—supporting education and investing in the future. 👏🏾📚

The 100 Black Men of Douglasville continued their FORGE Academy Hands on Banking program with mentees and mentors during Spring Break.

During the session, the group participated in a team-building activity, working together to assemble a soccer goal for their school. This hands-on effort not only strengthened teamwork and leadership skills, but also left a lasting contribution for fellow students to enjoy upon their return.

Moments like these remind us that mentorship goes beyond the classroom—it’s about building character, unity, and community.
