It's that time of year again folks. My women's organization, The Junior League of Douglas County is kicking off our annual fundraising event, the Little Black Dress Initiative on Monday, October 14, 2024.

Let me tell you, we did an amazing job last year, made headline news, and won an award at our annual convention.

However, I need more of my network to donate on my behalf. We are a competitive bunch and I can't let my JLDC sisters out fundraise me this year. ☹️😊

We helped families wash their clothes after we partnered with a local laundromat and we purchased a washer and dryer for a local high school to assist teens in need. We are duplicating our efforts again this year, but I need your help. Here's my link to donate https://gofund.me/0d1d6ff4

Thankful for the recognition of NCNW Northwest Georgia Section and all the wonderful service work that is done in West Georgia by our affiliated organizations. Our organizations were honored at the Douglas County Courthouse by the Board of Commissioners and the Office of Constituent Services for Juneteenth.

We (Junior League of Douglas County) had a fantastic May Dinner and Awards Ceremony to end our league year, Derby style. I enjoyed serving with these ladies and I'm proud of all the service work we've done to make our community better.

Stay tuned for our ADA compliant playground 20-year re-dedication at Clinton Nature Preserve on May 20th at 6:30pm.

I was able to vote early today.

If I could make any recommendations, please research each candidate.

I've met and researched mostly all of the local and legislative candidates and many of the local judges.

However, there are a lot of State, Supreme Court, and Appellate Court judges on the ballot that I'm not familiar with.

These are very important positions, and some of them were even appointed previously.

Take control of your voter rights and know who you are voting for!

Junior Leagie of Douglas County has successfully hosted our first annual charity golf ⛳️ clinic.
What an amazing show of support to our local community and our league initiatives. We aim to alleviate strains of poverty by lending a helping hand to individuals and families. One of our initiatives is to create laundry centers in local high schools.
