The Douglaston LDC is saddened to share news that Julia Schoeck has passed away recently. Her life was honored at a funeral service today, at Zion Episcopal Church, Douglaston

Julia was a longtime President of the The Douglaston and Little Neck Historical Society, and a founding member of our Douglaston Local Development Corporation. She devoted herself to the historic preservation and revitalization of the Douglaston community, dedicating countless hours of her time and energy to these causes, for decades.

Her dedication, leadership, and tireless advocacy made a lasting impact on our neighborhood. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her and work alongside her.

Our thoughts are with her family, friends, and the entire community during this time.
