Daniel Boone Pack 597 Daniel Boone School District's Scouting America Pack since 1956. Come see why we have so much fun! and are held at St. Paul's UCC Church.

Cub Scout Pack 597 is the oldest packs in Amityville/Douglassville, PA. We are an active Pack and welcome all children that are in grades K through 5th. Meetings run throughout the school year on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. For information on joining, send us an email at [email protected]

We don't use any fancy superlatives to describe ourselves or our program. Our program as well as the relationship that we have with Troop 597 speak for themselves.

A few weeks ago we had Berks County Search and Rescue Station 2 come out for an awesome program with the Cubs—and it was such a great experience!

The scouts learned real, useful skills we’ll carry with us on all our adventures. The “Hug-a-Tree and Survive” program teaches kids what to do if they ever get lost in the woods.

They learned to stay put, keep warm and dry, and respond when they hear rescuers calling—plus why sticking with a tree helps them get found faster.

So thankful for opportunities like this that build confidence, safety skills, and a little extra preparedness in our scouts. Thank you Berks search and rescue for coming out!!!

Yesterday we had a very special guest visit our pack—archaeologist Jim Wosochlo! He shared an incredible presentation featuring artifacts ranging from the Ice Age all the way to more recent history, including items from early humans to Native American cultures. Thank you Jim, we hope to have you back again!

We were also glad to have Pine Forge Cub Scouts Pack 523 join us alongside Cub Pack 595, making it a great night of learning, discovery, and Scout spirit together.

Today, Cub Scout Pack 597 proudly held our annual Pinewood Derby and Outlaw Race!

A huge thank-you to our parents and volunteers who helped with setup, supported the Scouts throughout the day, and stayed for cleanup. Your time and dedication made this event a great success, and we truly could not have done it without you.
