📚 Calling All Strong Kids (and the Moms Who Know They Need to Burn Some Energy)! 📚

Need a community service opportunity? We've got one—and we could really use some extra hands!

🗓 When: June 11th at 9:00 AM
📍 Where: Meet at the Public Library
📦 Mission: Help move books from the library to the Church of Christ for the fundraising book sale.

Got a kid who's always carrying around a backpack that weighs more than they do? Put those muscles to good use! This is a great chance to earn community service hours, help the community, and maybe discover just how many books can fit in one box.

The more helpers we have, the faster it goes—so bring your strong kids, your teens, and anyone willing to lend a hand!

Many hands make light work... especially when we're moving hundreds of books! 📚💪😊

This does count for Community Service Hours for the High School Students!

City of Douglass Community Garage Sale is taking place from June 12th, 2026 - June 13th, 2026!
Stop by City Hall at 322 S. Forrest to obtain a permit, fees will be waived for these dates.
A map will be created of all garage sale addresses based on permit applications. Get those in by June 11th to be added to the list!

Ginger was a state champion wrestler, Douglass' first woman wrestling state champion

Plans or ambitions after school: Ginger will be wrestling for Friends University on scholarship to pursue a degree in Dental Hygiene
