Workshop: Expanded Body 🎨

Join BAC Fellows Yadira Camacho Villa and Meme García for a creative workshop where paint moves beyond the canvas and across skin and paper. Through rhythm, emotion, and color, participants will experiment with artistic makeup and painting to create an abstract piece connecting body, emotion, and expression.

🎨 Taller: Cuerpo Expandido

Acompáñanos junto a las BAC Fellows Yadira Camacho Villa y Meme García en un taller creativo donde la pintura se expande más allá del lienzo para explorar la piel y el papel. A través del ritmo, la emoción y el color, las y los participantes experimentarán con maquillaje artístico y pintura para crear una pieza abstracta que conecte cuerpo, emoción y expresión.

Join us for the Opening Reception of “Moments That Made Us: America 250 / Douglas 125” — a special exhibit celebrating the history and legacy of our nation and community.

📍 Grand Theater Gallery | 1139 G Avenue, Douglas, AZ
✨ Enjoy the exhibit + a FREE Mother’s Day art activity (painted vase or canvas)!

🎶 Stick around for the Mariachi Festival at Placita Park (in front of the Gadsden Hotel) from 2:30–7:30 PM. Live music, tacos de barbacoa, and proceeds benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of Douglas & the Mark Dannels Scholarship for Public Safety.

The exhibit continues Wed–Sat, 3–6 PM through May 30 (by appointments to check out)

Congrats to Fernando Serrano, Andrea Pro, Diego Lopez, Vanessa Saavedra, Meme Garcia, Yadira Camacho Villa, Frida Gonzalez Rodriguez & Eduardo Salcido! Stay tuned for free public workshops and their showcase at the 2026 Binational Artwalk. ✨
