One of our very own beloved landmarks getting some attention!

Take a step back in time this Throwback Thursday with the College Inn Bar, one of the oldest continuously operating businesses in Converse County. Established in 1906, the bar has been a longtime gathering place in downtown Douglas, serving generations of locals and travelers alike.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the building is recognized not only for its longevity, but for its connection to the social and commercial history of the community. More than a century later, it still stands as a reminder of the early days of Douglas and the businesses that helped shape the town.

Historic places like this connect past and present in a way few things can. This image courtesy of the Wyoming State Historic Preservation Office Photo Collection, circa 1979.
