🌧️ TIFTON GEORGIA STAKE — STORM PREPARATION UPDATE

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

As we prepare for the approaching storm, we invite all members of the Tifton Georgia Stake to take time now to prepare your homes and families. Although the center of the storm may remain away from our area, we could still experience strong winds, heavy rain, flooding, and possible tornadoes.

Please take a few minutes to:
- Secure outdoor items and prepare for possible power outages.
- Review your family's emergency plan and identify a safe place to shelter during a tornado warning.
- Keep phones charged and monitor local weather alerts and official emergency instructions.
- Reach out to your ministering assignments, friends, neighbors, and anyone who may need extra help or support.

Most importantly, let us remember that ministering means looking after one another. Please be aware of those around you and help ensure that no one is overlooked or left without needed support.

As we face the uncertainty of the storm, we can find peace and hope in the Lord's promise:

“Be of good cheer, and do not fear, for I the Lord am with you, and will stand by you.” — Doctrine and Covenants 68:6

Whatever the storm may bring, may we remember that we do not face life's challenges alone. After the darkest clouds, the light returns. Through faith in Jesus Christ, we can find courage, comfort, and hope.

Thank you for your faith, your prayers, and your willingness to serve and care for one another. Please stay safe, follow local emergency guidance, and continue to watch over those around you.

With love and prayers for all our families,

The Tifton Georgia Stake Presidency

For the first time in the history of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, more than 90,000 missionaries are now serving throughout the world.

The milestone was announced this week as the number of young women serving as full-time missionaries — over 30,000 — became the largest cohort of sister missionaries ever in the Church’s history.

These missionaries serve in more than 500 missions around the world, sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ, serving in local communities and inviting others to come unto Christ.

As a new school year begins—with new teachers, new classrooms, new friends, and new opportunities—we invite every worthy Melchizedek Priesthood holder to consider giving a father’s blessing to the children in your home.

A father’s blessing is a sacred opportunity to invoke the Lord’s guidance, protection, comfort, and inspiration upon those you love. As children prepare to face new challenges and experiences, a father’s blessing can strengthen their faith, bring peace, and remind them that Heavenly Father is mindful of them.

Whether your child is starting kindergarten, entering middle or high school, attending college, or beginning another season of learning, this simple act of priesthood service can become a cherished family tradition.

We encourage you to prayerfully set aside time before the school year begins to gather your family and offer this sacred blessing.

“The power of the priesthood is the power of God available to bless all of His children.”

May the Lord bless our students, teachers, school employees, and families with safety, wisdom, courage, and faith throughout the coming school year.

Best wishes on a great year!

Love,

The Tifton Georgia Stake Presidency
