Reminder that stake conference is today and tomorrow!

The Stake Conference meetings include:

· Ward and Stake Council Leadership Meeting on Saturday August 29th, from 3:00 - 5:00 PM. Attended by full presidencies of organizations represented on the stake council and in ward and branch councils (this includes Primary, Young Women, Relief Society, Sunday School, Elders Quorum, Mission Leaders, Temple and Family History Leaders, and full Bishoprics/Branch Presidencies).

· Adult Evening Session on Saturday August 29th, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Attended by all adult members and their friends.

· Sunday General Session on Sunday, August 30th, from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Attended by All Stake Members and Friends. The Sunday session will be live in Tifton at the stake center and broadcast to the Douglas and Valdosta buildings.

As a new school year begins—with new teachers, new classrooms, new friends, and new opportunities—we invite every worthy Melchizedek Priesthood holder to consider giving a father’s blessing to the children in your home.

A father’s blessing is a sacred opportunity to invoke the Lord’s guidance, protection, comfort, and inspiration upon those you love. As children prepare to face new challenges and experiences, a father’s blessing can strengthen their faith, bring peace, and remind them that Heavenly Father is mindful of them.

Whether your child is starting kindergarten, entering middle or high school, attending college, or beginning another season of learning, this simple act of priesthood service can become a cherished family tradition.

We encourage you to prayerfully set aside time before the school year begins to gather your family and offer this sacred blessing.

May the Lord bless our students, teachers, school employees, and families with safety, wisdom, courage, and faith throughout the coming school year.
