THANK YOU!! On behalf of OECC, we wanted to send out a heartfelt message of overwhelming gratitude for the outpouring of generosity we received during WYO Gives this year! This community is so amazing and we are so thankful for everyone who contributed to our fundraising effort. We know there are many choices to make these days when it comes to where you invest your time and money and we are so grateful to YOU for investing in outdoor recreation and our small community group. This year, the Outdoor Enthusiasts Of Converse Co. participated in Hot Night In The Park. Fortunately, there was nothing hot about the evening. We spent the first 45 minutes of the night, holding down the legs of our canopy so it wouldn't blow away. The weather eventually turned out perfect!

We organized the 5k Splash and Dash. The event started in Washington Park and the course took participants up into the Douglas Mountain Trails. Splashing was compliments of the Douglas Volunteer Fire Department and the Douglas Bearcat Cross Country team!

We also raffled off a strider bike, perfect for beginners on the pump track at the Douglas Mountain Bike Skills Park.

Thank you Converse County Bank for your generosity, for the water guns, the sweet cooling towels and for always taking care of our community! Thanks to the Douglas Volunteer Fire Department, the Bearcat Cross County Team, and our volunteer members, who helped make the evening a success.

THIS THURSDAY, July 9th, OECC and our friends at Converse County Bank are super stoked to present the inaugural Splash & Dash 5K fun run as part of the Hot Night In the Park festivities! We welcome runners, walkers, doggos (on leash please) and bigs and littles alike to come explore Douglas Mountain…and the best part? It’s FREE!!

Participants can expect:
🔫Cooling stations on course (thanks Bearcat XC Team!)
🚲 A chance to win a youth Strider Bike
💦A free cooling towel
⛰️Sweet views from Douglas Mountain

⏰Run/walk starts at 5:30, check-in at 5PM
📍Check In: The Big Green OECC tent (Washington Park)

Littles are welcome to bring Strider bikes or other bikes to check out our pump track! It’s gonna be a great night! Hope to see you there!
