Converse County Animal Shelter is committed to the health and welfare of all animals, and the active pursuit of a loving forever home for every set of paws that enters our care. Hundreds of displaced animals come through our doors each year and it takes a lot of time, rehabilitation and veterinary care to place them into new homes. With such great support from the community of Converse County and

surrounding areas, our dedicated staff and our terrific volunteer base, we are able to provide a safe temporary home for displaced animals in our community. We are also so much more than a traditional shelter! We offer many programs and services to educate, inform and inspire people to take responsible care of their pets and to treat them with the kindness they deserve. With the support from people from all over Wyoming and beyond, we are helping to create a better community for all.

Thank you to everyone who reached out offering to donate toward grooming this sweet girl. We are truly overwhelmed by the outpouring of kindness and generosity! 🥹

We wanted to give you all a little update: this sweetheart was able to get groomed at AAC today! A very special thank-you to our friends at AAC for taking on this appointment. They don’t have a groomer on Fridays, but a technician took on the task because, just like all of you, she wanted to help this girl get the care she needed. ❤️

We also want to give a huge shout-out to Jenni Nieft, who generously offered to donate her grooming services as well. Thank you, Jenni, for being willing to help! ❤️

For those who reached out wanting to donate toward her grooming, or who would like to help with grooming expenses for future animals who come to us in need of some extra TLC, donations can be made through the donation link on our website. Every donation helps us provide care for animals who need it most.

We are so proud to serve a community that cares so deeply about animals. The kindness, compassion, and willingness to help that you have shown this sweet girl today means more than we can say.

Thank you for being the kind of community that shows up when an animal needs us. We are so grateful. 🐾❤️

Now, we can't tell you exactly what breed Teddy is... but we can tell you why he's named Teddy. Just look at him! He's basically a giant teddy bear with four legs 🐻

Teddy has the happiest outlook on life. He bounces around with the cutest little trot 😊 And he loves making dog friends! His favorite hobby, though? Cuddling. If there's an open spot on the couch (or in your lap), he'll gladly fill it.

Some dogs are always looking for the next adventure. Teddy? He's just vibing. Every day is the best day ever, and he's looking for a family to share that joy with.
