Hello Junior National Exhibitors and Parents,
We are quickly approaching Junior Nationals! As you all are packing all of the essentials, please do NOT forget one of the most important items. Health Papers.
The health and safety of animals, exhibitors, and parents are always at the forefront of our concerns. This year there has been an increased concern about the New World Screwworm (NWS). We will attach an order from the State of Nebraska about NWS. As always, be sure that your veterinarian checks all requirements from your state to Nebraska.

It is important to remember that Screwworm can affect any warm-blooded animal. They are transmitted by infected female flies laying eggs on wounds. The larvae hatch and then burrow into the open skinned areas, sores, and wounds/infected areas. It is imperative that if an animal has a wound that you seek immediate veterinary care and fly control is a MUST.
Due to the increased concern, we are asking you all to please send in your CVI and other travel documents prior to travel. Please scan or send a picture to this email or a picture to Courteney Walker, DVM at 575-840-7444
Again, we appreciate your time and your effort to ensure the safety of all animals being exhibited.
Thank you,
American Junior Aberdeen Association
