The Cochise County Historical Society was founded in 1966 to gather, preserve, and promote the study and preservation of the historical heritage of Cochise County. To fulfill their mission, the Historical Society publishes the Cochise County Historical Journal, a bi-annual publication that spotlights the rich history of our area, from the Paleo-Indians to the Spanish explorers, from the Mexican settlers to the Chiricahua Apaches, and from the early Anglo pioneers to the vibrant citizens of today.

The Cochise County Historical Journals are shelved in the Copper Queen Library’s third floor reading room, located by the elevator. Journals more than ten years old are also available for FREE download on the Cochise County Historical Society’s website at : www.cochisecountyhistoricalsociety.org

We also recognized the contributions of two generous supporters of CCHS.
