We hosted our second extra practice opportunity for early applicants on Sunday! It was so fun introducing the phases of competition to a first time applicant and refreshing some returners on the phases as well. We look forward to offering more of these opportunities monthly leading up to our orientation in December.

Jasman met with an applicant for our Class of 2027 at Bumble & Bean yesterday! 🐝☕️

It was a full circle moment because Jasman attended her very own Welcome Meeting at this cute coffee shop only nine months ago. Now, after one season in the program, she’s already sharing advice with the next class of delegates and she has $6,575 in scholarships. So much can happen in a short time when you embrace new opportunities! 🤍

We loved our time at the Back-to-School Bash today! It was an amazing event overflowing with resources and fun activities for families. Jasman, Kaeli, and Addi got to tell so many students and parents about the scholarship opportunities we offer. We can’t wait to see who joins the sisterhood as a result! 🫶🏻

Surprise!! 🎉 Our OG title is back in celebration of the 80th Anniversary of the first Miss Oregon, JoAnn Amorde Berg, who was crowned Miss Roseburg in 1947.

You can apply to join our Class of 2027 at missdouglascounty.org and compete for the chance to win one of these once in a lifetime special titles: Miss Roseburg 2027 or Miss Roseburg’s Teen 2027. There will never be another 80th Anniversary Miss Roseburg, so why not make it you? ✨

Your chances of representing the Miss Douglas County Scholarship Program on the Miss Oregon stage have never been better. We are officially crowning 6 titleholders in March 2027. You could be Miss Douglas County, Miss Umpqua Valley, Miss Roseburg, or one of the three corresponding teen titleholders! Earn significant scholarships ($65K was awarded in 2026) and the opportunity to spend a year serving as a role model and leader within your community.

All participants will receive opportunities to earn scholarships guaranteed and walk away with new friends, confidence, leadership skills, service hours, and so much more! 👑

If you are an Oregonian woman age 14-28 who lives in Douglas, Curry, Jackson, or Josephine County, you could be eligible. Our volunteers will mentor you every step of the way! All you have to do is apply to get started.

Everyone has a talent worth sharing on the Miss Douglas County stage. What would yours be? We would love to see it onstage in 2027. Visit missdouglascounty.org and apply today! You could win a talent scholarship! ✨

Did you know: Miss America recognizes so many options as eligible talents! You could do a traditional performing arts talent (singing, dancing, acting, playing an instrument, etc.) or you could do something different. In recent years, we have seen science experiments, wrestling demonstrations, ventriloquism, swing dancing with a partner, ice skating, and more. One of Miss America’s newest additions is a HER Story, which involves telling an impactful personal story or reciting a persuasive or motivational speech. There is really a talent option for everyone and we have seen so many unique talents rewarded with awards and placements.
