“I was received the Clayton Jordan Scholarship a few years ago. I think I might have been the first recipient. Mr. Clayton was everything to me. I graduated from the Baptist University of Florida in 2024 with a bachelor’s in Ministry Studies with a focus on youth ministry. I am the youth pastor at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, an ESE paraprofessional at Freeport Middle, and a Sales Associate at Consolidated ACE Hardware in DeFuniak Springs. I will be getting married to my beautiful Isabella Parker in October.
Mr.Clayton taught me everything I know about music. I can’t help but think about all of the great memories I had with him every time I pick up my guitar. Man! I miss him! I am so thankful that God put Mr. Clayton in my life. Thank you to all who contribute to this scholarship.”

This is an update from Lani Shivers who received a scholarship from the Clayton Jordan Scholarship Foundation in 2022. God is hard at work in Lani’s life!

“Hi! I just saw your post about catching up with past scholarship recipients. I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from Auburn University in December, and I and am starting my master’s in speech-language pathology in August at the University of South Alabama after getting married here in Dothan this June and moving to Mobile! I am super grateful for y’all and how you’ve helped me get to where I am!”

It is hard to believe this is the 5th year we have been able to provide a scholarship to a graduating senior in honor of our dad.

This years' award went to a member of the Providence Christian School varsity basketball team for the past 5 years. He has been a great ambassador for the program both on the court and off as well as through his work in the community. Congratulations to Pearce Boone!! We are so proud of you!

We awarded our 4th annual scholarships on May 1,2025! It is hard to believe that it has been almost 5 years since the passing of our dad and friend. We are so proud to be able to continue making a difference in the lives of young students at Providence Christian, a school he loved very much.

This year we awarded two incredible young men scholarships. Luke Strickland and Hudson Jordan, God has big plans for you both. We can’t wait to see your accomplishments as you move to the next phase of life.
