Dothan To Celebrate America 250 With Free Concerts
Dothan, Ala. — The City of Dothan is inviting the community to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary with two free military band performances at the Dothan Opera House next month.
According to a press release from the City of Dothan Community Relations Office on May 20, both concerts will be free to attend, but tickets are required.
“The City of Dothan is inviting the community to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary with two exciting nights of live music at the Dothan Opera House this June,” the release stated.
The celebration will begin Wednesday, June 24 at 6:30 p.m. with a performance by the 151st Army National Guard Band.
“Known for their dynamic musicianship and patriotic spirit, the band will deliver an evening of music honoring the nation’s history and service members,” the release stated.
The second concert is scheduled for Tuesday, June 30 at 7 p.m. featuring the United States Naval Academy Band’s Electric Brigade.
The performance will feature “a high-energy show featuring patriotic favorites alongside contemporary hits,” according to the release.
Officials said free tickets for both events can be reserved online through the City of Dothan.
Concertgoers are encouraged to reserve tickets early and participate in the downtown Dothan America 250 celebration events.
