We offer completely free, confidential abuse counseling to people of all ages and genders in the Wiregrass region. Over 600 people each year receive therapy from our specialized counselors. Our services are free, thanks to our generous local sponsors and United Way affiliation. We offer one-on-one counseling, support groups, in-home care for at-risk families, & public trainings. People who need our services are walk-ins, come from the abuse shelter for counseling, or are referred by a friend, doctor, or social services. Regardless of how they get here, we welcome anyone who needs help. Since our founding, we have expanded our services to prevent abuse before it even occurs. We were known as the Wise Center for several years. We changed our name to Exchange Center after being accredited by the national association of Exchange Child Abuse Centers. Our accreditation allows us to remain independent while offering the highest quality of professional care for abuse victims and families. We welcome you to join us in becoming a hero for children!
