Putting God’s love into action, Wiregrass Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. Twenty-five years ago, two caring individuals saw the need for decent, affordable housing for low income families in the Wiregrass, and proceeded to establish a local Habitat for Humanity affiliate in Dothan, Alabama. Wiregrass Habitat for Humanity (WHFH) currently serves Dal
e, Henry, Houston and Geneva Counties. Since 1990, WHFH has served 123 families through new home construction with home 124 currently under construction. Between 2010 and 2015, through the A Brush with Kindness and Critical Home Repairs and Weatherization programs, WHFH assisted over 180 families with home repairs and rehabilitations, weatherization and exterior revitalization as well as building wheelchair ramps greatly multiplying the families served in the Wiregrass.
