🥜🌽 Fresh food, local flavor and a whole lot of community spirit!

The Alabama Peanut Producers Association was proud to be part of the Enterprise Farmers Market Peak Season Kickoff & Farm-to-Fork Chef Showdown today in Enterprise. We enjoyed visiting with local families, sharing the story of Alabama peanuts and supporting talented chefs as they transformed fresh, locally grown ingredients into delicious creations.

Events like these showcase the importance of supporting local farmers, strengthening connections between producers and consumers, and celebrating the incredible agricultural products grown right here in Alabama.

Thank you to the Enterprise Farmers Market, event organizers, sponsors and everyone who stopped by our booth. We loved sharing the peanut story with you!

"The values that stand out most are hard work and perseverance. Farming isn't always predictable. Weather, markets, equipment issues, and rising input costs can all create challenges, but farmers have to keep moving forward. Independence is also a major part of farm life because farmers are constantly making decisions, solving problems, and taking responsibility for the outcome. Those values aren't just principles on the farm, they're a way of life."

Peanuts stepped up to the plate in Montgomery this past April! ⚾🏏

For one weekend, the Montgomery Biscuits took the field as the Alabama Peanut Runners, turning a routine matchup into a celebration of one of the state’s most important crops: peanuts. Representatives from the Alabama Peanut Producers Association engaged with fans by handing out peanut samples and educating the public about how peanuts pack 7 grams of protein per serving.

Events like this help connect consumers with the farmers who grow the crops that fuel our communities.

Kicking off our fan-favorite Farmer in Focus series, where we spend time highlighting the hardworking farmers who help feed and fuel America every single day, is Christopher Bell of Bell Farms in Escambia County. 🇺🇸🌾

This series gives us the opportunity to share the stories, values, and perseverance behind agriculture across our state as we celebrate 250 years of America.

“There’s a lot of pride in carrying on this legacy and getting to do what we love every single day while helping feed Americans across the country.” — Christopher Bell, Peanut Farmer

Stay tuned as we continue spotlighting the people behind the farms — their stories, sacrifices, and the legacy they’re working to preserve for the next generation. 🚜
