A huge thank you to this awesome crew from Amplify Church!

They spent the day giving our Center some much needed care and it has never looked better! From deep cleaning our toy room to pulling weeds and freshening up our front entrance, they tackled whatever was needed. They even swept and mopped our floors, leaving them so sparkly and brightening up our whole space!

We’re always so grateful for groups who come ready to dive into whatever areas need attention. Nonprofit work takes many forms and while some jobs happen behind the scenes every task plays an important role in creating a clean, welcoming and comforting space for the youth and families who walk through our doors!

Thank you, Amplify Church, for showing up and helping us care for our Center and our community! ❤️

We are excited to welcome our first Public Allies intern, Gary Murray, to our team!

Gary will be with us through the end of July and will be working in a variety of our programs.
You may see him working with shoppers in our Center, working with our teens in Teen Connections, helping with Bag Drive and much more.

October has brought a little bit of a spooky vibe to the Teen Boutique!

This month we went with an all black, white and grey display featuring ghosts, crows & a gothic vibe! Inspired by some of the styles we’ve noticed our teen shoppers gravitating toward.

We love paying attention to what our shoppers enjoy and creating displays that reflect their individual personalities, interests & style. Having choices that feel like 'you' matters🖤

The FLP Bag Drive is coming!

Our annual Bag Drive kicks off November 10 and now is the perfect time to start getting ready!

Then, start thinking about the bags you’d like to pack and gathering & preparing those new essentials that can help a youth feel prepared and cared for during a transition.

🙌 Volunteers: We’ll have opportunities to help make, organize and prepare these bags throughout the drive. Keep an eye out for ways to get involved!

Thank you, ADLO, for your awesome support! ❤️

It was a busy day of service for ADLO! 💗💚

In addition to assembling over 20 Duffle Bags of Dignity for youth in foster and kinship care, we stopped by the Foster Love Project to present a $500 donation in support of its annual Hair Care Workshop!

The workshop provides foster, kinship, and adoptive caregivers with hands-on guidance in caring for children with textured hair, helping them build the skills and confidence to support the children in their care.

We are excited to support this annual event and continue our partnership with the Foster Love Project. From essential goods to thoughtful hair care, we’re showing up to help young people feel cared for, confident, and valued. 💕

Sometimes the smallest requests bring out the biggest moments of community💙

Recently, we received a request for a young shopper who absolutely loves Lilo & Stitch. Our Center team immediately made it their mission to find a few special items before her shopping appointment and we were so excited to gather some Lilo & Stitch favorites for her!

Then, during a recent shopping trip to Old Navy, our Center Supervisor, Krissy, spotted the cutest Lilo & Stitch backpack and knew it would be perfect. She was ready to buy it for our shopper but John, an Old Navy manager and one of our biggest advocates, stepped in and donated the backpack on his behalf!

What started as one small request became such a beautiful example of people paying attention, going the extra mile and coming together to make our shopper feel seen.

Thank you to our Old Navy family for continuing to show up for our shoppers in such meaningful ways—and thank you, Krissy, for always looking for those little moments that can make a big difference❤️

We’re looking for Teen Connections Mentors💙

Teen Connections is a monthly gathering for teens who have experienced foster care, kinship care & adoption! It's a space to build relationships, share experiences, have fun and to know they're not alone.

We’re looking for adults 21+ with lived experience in foster care, kinship care & adoption who want to help create a safe, supportive space for local teens.

Mentors share dinner, lead activities and help guide meaningful conversations where teens can explore and communicate their experiences and emotions.
