Check out the Keystone Oaks School District OM World Finalists on Pittsburgh Today Live today! The kids challenged the hosts, Heather and David, to a quick spontaneous problem and totally crushed it.

We're so grateful to the folks at PTL for showcasing our kids each year and celebrating their success. Hopefully it inspires more students to get involved with this amazing program!

🏆 KOSD ODYSSEY OF THE MIND IS HEADED TO WORLD FINALS🏆

What an incredible showing at State Finals! Four Keystone Oaks School District teams competed, and we are SO proud to announce that TWO teams placed and earned their spots at World Finals!

First up, a HUGE congratulations to Casper and the Friendly Goats! These five Dormont Elementary 5th graders, Clara Naccarelli, Philip Seymore, Eliot Toll, Kirin Bowen, and Aine Geary, took 2nd place in Division 1, Problem 3.

This was their FIRST time at States AND their first time qualifying for Worlds. What a debut!

And the Precisely Cut Potatoes did it AGAIN! This powerhouse team claimed 1st place in Division 3, Problem 5, earning their FOURTH trip to World Finals and they'll be heading back as defending World Champions.

The team includes Afton Rogers, Grace Luft, Frankie Custer, Alex Smith, Rainer Loyd, Iris Brownlee, and Norah Smith, representing KOHS and KOMS.

We are beaming with pride for ALL four teams that competed at Regionals and States this year. This community produces some truly amazing young thinkers and problem-solvers. 💛🖤

KO Friends and Families,
Here is the schedule for all Keystone Oaks Odyssey of the Mind teams competing on Saturday at Peters Township High School.

If you have some time, we would love to have you stop by and cheer on our students. Spectators are able to watch the Long Term performances, and having friendly faces in the audience makes a big difference for the kids.

Thank you for supporting these incredibly creative and hardworking students. It means a lot to them!

WHAT. A. DAY.

Every single team, coach, judge, and volunteer from today deserves a medal. Spontaneous Fun Day is three spontaneous problems… and a whole lot of sitting, waiting, regrouping, and doing it all over again. It’s a long haul, mentally and physically.

Huge congratulations to our teams for showing up ready, thinking fast when it counted, and staying focused through a very full day.

And let’s just take a second to appreciate this: Keystone Oaks brought home medals in every division.
