Friends of Jose Zambrano (Son) are organizing this fundraiser.

Lissette Rodriguez and her husband Alvarino (Nino) De Gouveia have COVID-19 and are in need of immediate help with medical costs. Nino, with a pre-existing lung condition, is receiving intensive care. But with hospitals in Lecheria, Venezuela at full capacity, they are having to stay home and pay for round-the-clock nurse visits. In taking care of Nino, Lissette contracted the virus. They are now standing ahead of a mountain of massive financial bills. Your money will go towards nurse visits, medical equipment rentals, tests and additional support.

Lissette is mother to Jose Enmanuel Zambrano, and Nino is his stepfather. Jose was a vibrant leader in the VR video game community before he was killed in a random attack in Brooklyn in late 2019. He was larger than life to everyone around him, but especially to his mother. Please know that your support is going to a family who is still grieving the pain of his recent loss.

Gracias Julie, por tan maravillosa obra que toca las fibras más profundas de nuestro ser y de muchas personas que se identifican y sanan a través de la historia. Porque nos sorprendiste con con el nivel de sensibilidad y sutileza que transformaste la trágica experiencia de esos últimos días que vivimos todos junto a Jose, y tú con tu amor tan puro y fuera de éste mundo tejiste con hijos celestiales la esencia de ese momento y si alguien lo conoció en su último año en éste mundo fuiste tú. Sus sueños, sus planes, sus proyectos aciertos y desaciertos. Gracias por EXISTIR gracias por mostrarnos a Jose y mantenerlo VIVO.

El amor te ha envuelto por siempre y por siempre te envolverá porque fuiste hecho de Amor. Expándete sin medida, sigue elevándote , trascendiendo... te convertiste en el embajador de esta emoción y fuiste por la vida dejando huellas amorosas, huellas de colores, y nos has permitido disfrutar de todos los regalos que vienen de ti, por tanto que has dado.
Ahora eres luz y brillas más que nunca.. Vives en todos los que jamás dejaremos de amarte. Ocupas privilegiados lugares en nuestras mentes y corazones, fuiste el más maravilloso hijo con que Dios me pudo premiar.

UPDATE: Suspects to be charged with manslaughter / Sospochosos acusados por “homicidio no culposo”.

We would like to update everyone following Jose Zambrano Rodriguez's case that the grand jury was held today and both suspects Joshua Hernandez and the other suspect (still at-large) will officially be charged with homicide - specifically, with manslaughter charges. More details to come as Jose's father will be meeting with the DA in the upcoming weeks. The case is still open, a second suspect is still at-large, but this is a giant step in the right direction.
