But how fast are players actually running?

Using VALD SmartSpeed timing gates, we assess acceleration and max velocity so coaches and staff can see real performance data.

Clubs and academies across South Florida are starting to integrate objective performance assessments into their development programs.

At ESP LABS, we deliver objective performance assessments to support coaches, staff, and administrators of teams, clubs, and schools.

Velocity data from athletes tested within Doral Soccer Club.

408 athletes have completed the max velocity test.

ECNL athletes train weekly and complete a variety of acceleration, force, strength, and velocity assessments.

Current numbers:

• 36 athletes in the 20 MPH club
• 9 athletes in the 21 MPH club
• Fastest recorded speed: 22.09 MPH

Max velocity testing performed using a 30 yard run with a 10 yard fly and VALD SmartSpeed timing gates.

Athletes can access their data in the USR app and compare results with teammates, teams in their club, and athletes nationally.
