🐾Animal of the week!🐾
Meet Grouch! She is a 1-year-old domestic longhair who has been here at the rescue for a little over a year. Grouch was rescued when she was just a few weeks old from a mobile home that was housing 27 other cats. When she first came to us, this poor girl was underweight, refused to eat, and was suffering from an upper respiratory infection, a UTI, and an eye infection. Because of this, she had to be on antibiotic treatments for several weeks, along with a strict high-protein diet to get her weight up! She still has occasional sneezing fits due to the lingering damage from her previous living conditions, but that doesn’t stop her for a second! Miss Grouch actually got her name because she was part of a litter named after Sesame Street characters. Sadly, she is the last of the Sesame Street babies left at the rescue, as her siblings, Oscar and Bernie, have both been adopted. But don't let her name fool you! Grouch is an incredibly affectionate girl who is just looking to be a part of a loving family. She enjoys lounging around and stealing all of your attention. If you're looking for a laid-back, relaxed, and calm companion (except for the occasional case of the zoomies!), this is the girl for you! Come stop by the rescue to meet her and give her some love, or call us with any questions today. Let’s get this sweet baby adopted and give her the wonderful life she deserves!🐾💕 💕🐾
