🐾 It’s $5 Friday, and we’re celebrating 25 years! 🎉

Back in March, Iowa County Humane Society quietly turned 25. We were so busy caring for animals that we never stopped to celebrate… so we’re doing it now, with YOU!

For a quarter century, this community has helped us shelter, heal, and find homes for the animals of Iowa County. Today, we’re asking for just $5 to say happy birthday to ICHS. 🎂

Your gift helps cover food, treats, blankets, beds, toys, and transport for the animals in our care right now, as well as so much more!!!

👉 Claim your square here: https://www.givinggrid.com/zmftkc

When you donate, you can upload a photo to your square, so show off your fur kids! 🐶🐱

Can’t give today? Sharing this post helps just as much. Thank you for 25 amazing years! 💛

🎉 LEO IS ADOPTED! 🎉

It finally happened! After a long wait, our sweet 9-year-old Leo is headed to his new home with a family of his own. 💛

Leo spent his days here being patient, gentle, and charming. Many people walked past senior cats like him, but not the person who saw how special he is. Seniors make wonderful companions. They're already settled and full of love, and they're so grateful for a soft place to land.

A huge thank you to everyone who shared Leo's posts, cheered him on, and helped him get noticed. You made a difference for this guy. 🐾

Leo, we'll miss you around here. Enjoy your couch, your sunny windows, and every cuddle that comes your way. You earned it!

Thinking about adopting? We have more wonderful cats and dogs waiting for their turn. Stop by the Iowa County Humane Society in Dodgeville and meet them. 🏡

🧻 We're running low at ICHS! 🧻

We have an unusual need at the shelter: toilet paper! 🐾

Our humans use it in the bathroom, of course. But that's not the only job it does here. Our staff and volunteers turn the empty rolls into enrichment treats for our dogs. We stuff them with yummy goodies, fold the ends, and let the pups sniff, paw, and puzzle their way to a snack. 🐶

It's a cheap way to keep minds busy, cut down on kennel stress, and bring out some big tail wags. Just look at this face! 😍

How you can help:
🧻 Drop off a pack of toilet paper at the shelter
🧻 Bring a multi-pack and you'll supply our bathrooms and our dogs' playtime
🧻 Share this post so more neighbors can help

Every roll gets used twice. Once for the humans, and once for the dogs! 💛

🐾💛 ADOPTION UPDATE! 💛🐾

Meet Copper! You may remember him as Uno here at the Iowa County Humane Society. He found his family, and he's doing amazing! 🥹🤍

His new family shared an update:

🐶 He's now a hefty 15 pounds!
🌳 He LOVES being outside and going on walks
🎓 He already knows sit and shake
🏠 He's kennel trained
🤍 And most of all, he LOVES to cuddle!

Seeing happy endings like this is why we do what we do. Thank you to Copper's family for giving him a loving home, and thank you to everyone who supports our animals. 🐾
