Just For Kix - Triton, MN

Just For Kix - Triton, MN The Triton Just For Kix program offers classes for children 2 year of age through 12th grade. We offer styles in Kick, Pom, Jazz, Lyrical and Hip Hop.

We also offer special sessions in Tap and Musical Theater. Any skill level is welcomed at Just For Kix as their are no tryouts and dancers can join at anytime. Every dancer with Just For Kix will be given the opportunity to excel with the new skills and techniques they learn at class.

* Dancers will perform multiple times per season at large-scale events.
* Our older classes compete in a “low pre

ssure” environment.
* Our dancers wear one costume for each class for the year. Our costumes are tastefully and focus on age appropriate styles.
* Just For Kix prides itself on being organized. We get it done! Class time is maximized so every minute is utilized. Our goal is to have each and every class start on time and end on time.

1. Number of years in JFK?
-I have been in JFK for 2 years now.

2. How did you decide to join?
- I decided to join JFK from hearing a bunch of people talking about it, and wanting to extend my love for dance. Which wound me up loving my decision in joining JFk.

3. Favorite Dance Memory?
- My favorite dance memory would have to be the end, at nationals. The team feels way different then anytime else, it feels like we are closer than ever and everyone supports each other even with mess ups!

4. Funny Dance Story?
-At almost every dance comp, I run over the first eight count 3 times to remember it.
Then I get on the floor and stand there while they announce us, and it completely goes out of my mind. So naturally, I watch the person in front of me and act like nothing happened.

5. What lessons have you learned from being in JFK?
-One of my biggest lessons learned from JFK was that even if you're not good at one thing, that is ok because you are amazing at so much more than that and the coaches are able to showcase that.

6. What is your favorite style of dance? Favorite Routine?
-My favorite routine would have to be Hip Hop, I did my first ever hip hop this year, and l wish I did it sooner!

7. What activities do you do outside of dance? Other interests?
-The other activities I do outside of dance is soccer.

8. What are your plans next year? Work?
-My plans for next year is attending a 4 year college to major in political science. After college I plan on attending law school to later on become a lawyer.

9. What do you love about dance?
-One of the major things I love about dance, is being able to express myself without having to use words and using movements and facials. I love the energy, creativity, and the appreciation of being able to tell a story through the movements done on the floor.

10. Message to leave behind for younger dancers.
Dance isn't about being perfect - it's about the passion, growth, and love you have for showcasing who you truly are. The journey you are on is unique along with your talent, don't compare yourself at all to anyone else. If you keep showing up, believing in yourself, and never stop dancing you will get their.

McKenzy (Kenny) is one of the funniest people we know. We can always count on her to lift up the mood of others. She is anyone and everyones cheerleader and her charisma and heart will be greatly missed next year. We have watched McKenzy accomplish many great things and we have no doubt you will accomplish many more!
