Pack 529 Cubscouts will be at Tractor Supply in Mount Airy next weekend, Saturday May 2nd from 2-8pm and Sunday May 3rd from 1-8pm selling $10 Discount Cards. You will get more than $10 back from using these cards! There are multiple use options as well as 4 single use options. The multiple use options are shown below. The money earned will go towards sending scouts to camp and other scouting events. Please come out and support your local Cubscouts!

The last couple of weeks we've been learning about Citizenship by building model houses to build a model community and learn how a community and it's members work to be good citizens. The Cubs have really enjoyed building their houses and planning their community together. They've shown great teamwork and Citizenship skills as they help each other build their houses and their community and vote on how it should look.

We had a great time with the Pack this weekend at Raven K**b for Spring into Scouting. We didn't get to enjoy any campfires because of the burning ban, but we still were able to have lots of other fun! We enjoyed the tent camping, games, good food, hikes, canoeing, Lego Pinewood Derby, and much more! Thanks to everyone that came out!

❗️🔥❗️Spring into Scouting Attendees: Please note that North Carolina is currently under a statewide fire ban, which will impact this weekend’s event. Open-flame fires and the use of charcoal for cooking are not permitted. All cooking should be done using gas or electric stoves. Gas fire pits are allowed.

We understand this may take away from part of the traditional camping experience, but protecting our camp and the surrounding area is our top priority. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Tonight was Pack 529 Cubscouts' Pinewood Derby! We had a great turnout, and everyone had a whole lot of fun! Thank you to everyone who participated, including the family members and Troop 529. It wouldn't have been possible or as fun without you!

Today we celebrated our 2 Arrow of Light scouts as they crossed over to Troop 529 during their Bridging Ceremony. Congratulations to Hayden and McKinley! We wish you all the best as you continue on your trail to Eagle. Always remember to keep the Scout oath and law, do your best, do a good turn daily, and continue to persist even when the road gets tough as you climb the mountain toward Eagle Scout and adulthood. May the Great Scoutmaster bless you always!

Today we celebrated our 2 Arrow of Light scouts as they crossed over to Troop 529 during their Bridging Ceremony. Congratulations to Hayden and McKinley! The last two weeks we've been working hard on our Pinewood Derby cars! The Cubs are having such a blast! We've gone from designing to cutting to sanding and painting. Next week we will be adding wheels and weights! Then it's off to the races on March 19th!
