That Fiber Bish carries a huge Variety of breeds of Hand Dyed Fiber Braids and Custom Fiber Batts. Unique to her shop are her custom spinning kits and Mega Bish Batts. Always something unique in her variety of yarn bases and sock sets.

Traditional Tanners is the largest natural sheepskin tannery in the western US and the only certified organic tannery in the entire US. Based in Ashland, OR, the tannery offers sheep and goat tanning services for farmers and anyone that raises these animals. They also tan and sell their own finished sheep and goat hides, provide instructional guides, tools, hands-on classes and online articles so that home tanners can learn these methods.

Wool for the People is a new mill and dyehouse creating connections between their local fiber producers and the rich community of hand crafters. They work with ranchers in the Pacific Northwest region to source spectacular fiber from heritage breed sheep. WftP processes the wool in their Portland mill, and they help the fiber arts community connect with the varieties of local wool available.

Phoenix Fiber Mill is a family owned and operated sock mill located in Colorado that manufactures natural fiber socks for themselves and other fiber growers. They also hand make a full line of fiber related products and carry lots of alpaca and wool yarns.

Rabbit Hill Wool Mill is a family owned and operated small business in Port Orchard Washington. Equipment was purchased from Ramella so there could be a focus on finer fibers, but also processes coarser fibers. The main body of their mill consists of a carder, pin drafter, and a 24 head spinner. They also have a 60-inch-wide needle felting machine which they are currently using to make felt sheets and lap blankets.

Redwood yarn is hand dyed in small batches inspired by the seasonal nature surrounded in San Francisco Bay Area. Mostly offer sock yarns but include vibrant superwash and muted nonsuperwash yarns to create anything knitters and crocheters could enjoy.

Michele takes natural stones, fossils, fused glass and enamel and turns them into magnetic scarf/shawl pins. There are many colors, shapes and sizes to choose from that can add to the beauty of a garment while keeping it in place. The beauty of these pins are that they do not leave any pin hole damage.

Rui Knits creates small batch, crafted fiber goods that showcase the beauty and uniqueness of natural wool. Their hand-dyed yarn is non-superwash bases, and their batts are hand-processed from raw fleeces. They also offer curated U.S. grown fleeces milled into roving, fun “batt butt” blended battlings, handmade stitch markers, and handwoven project bags. Each product highlights the breed-specific fibers and their distinctive qualities.

Foothill Fiber Works is the new education and production arm of Hangtown Fibers Guild. They sell Lisa Souza yarn and hand dye their own braids and skeins. They also sell wool and exotic rovings by the ounce and hand spun yarns by the skein.

Fox Farms is a 1st generation farm on Sherman Island, near Rio Vista, on the Sacramento River Delta. Sue Fox is a member of the North American Wensleydale Sheep Association as a registered Wensleydale Heritage sheep breeder. Fox Farms sells sheep, raw fleeces, yarn, roving, batting, honey, and black berry jam!

Happy Mermaid Yarn Co loves fiber and color so much they began dyeing yarn in 2017. They are sisters who started business together during 2020 making beautiful hand-dyed yarn for all! Not long after they started making project bags and notions for knitters and crocheters!

Our intense love of knitting, crocheting, weaving has lead us to create over 140 stunning colorways, all of which are available in every yarn base we offer.

Arbuckle Fiber Company is the small cooperative labor of love of three fiber artists. They produce dyed and natural roving and yarn in addition to finished felted, knit and woven items.

Bara Bara Soft Wares offers hand processed, naturally dyed, breed specific spinning fiber in the form of batts and fleece. Bara Bara also collaborates with local designers to make knitting kits that include a pattern and naturally dyed, US grown and mill spun yarn.

Bellwether Wool Company specialize in breed specific roving (and some yarns) from their own sheep and other farms, as local as possible! They have been in business in the PNW for 33 years and love to share their knowledge of sheep and fibers with anyone interested in the topic. Lois is the author of the Sheep Breed Study Project which studied and shared 140 sheep breeds from around the world. This is currently being made into an online class through PNW FiberConnect, a non-profit educational group.

The Blue Barn Farm provides California-raised prepared fiber from their own merino sheep and cashmere goats, for spinners, dyers, felters and other fiber artists, including roving, batts and sometimes yarn, in white and natural colors, as well as handmade crocheted goods from all types of yarn.

With a record 80 workshops this year, there is still room in a wide variety of workshops with space for you (and a friend).

Learn Flower Granny Squares and Hexagons with Kavitha Raman or how to make plaid or striped color patterns with just one variegated yarn in Crochet Planned Pooling with Daniela Weillisz. Linda Dean is teaching 3 different classic quilt blocks to create heirloom Quilt Squares, how to become an expert at Reading Crochet Charts, and Corner to Corner projects in the Round.

Sheep to Shawl Registration is OPEN!

Sheep to Shawl is a competition in which teams race against the clock to transform wool into a beautiful, wearable shawl. We will have two divisions, Virtual and Fairgrounds, and the winners will go head-to-head for a Grand Champion Blue Ribbon! All judging will be done by Amelia Garripoli. Individuals may compete on one team in each division.

Join us on Zoom September 20th to watch the live judging of the Virtual Division of the Sheep to Shawl Competition with judge Amelia Garripoli! Teams can consist of 2-7 people working a total of 28 hours, and each group will submit a video showing their process. This is the only competition that takes place prior to festival weekend and a fun way to get excited for festival weekend.

In the Fairgounds Division, teams of eight competitors card, spin, ply, and weave fleece into a shawl while the clock is ticking. Will all of the teams complete a shawl in time? Join us to watch this growing spectator sport, look over each team's display, and chat with the Educational Liasons. Judging of the Fairgrounds Division and Grand Champion begins at 3PM on Sunday, October 4th.

Una is a Fiber Artist from La Grande, Oregon. Growing up in her parents’ craft supply store she gained experience with a multitude of crafts as an artist and teacher, even appearing on HGTV’s 'That’s Clever’, making a pair of shoes! She started punching over a decade ago at a craft show “make and take” where she used the Oxford Punch Needle. Combining unique materials is Una’s most inspiring challenge; she loves “figuring it all out”. From raw wool, to sewing the finishing stitch, she is always looking for new approaches. Una’s work has been exhibited and sold at craft shows across the country under the name Wooly Walkers. She completed her Advanced Oxford Punch Needle training and has been teaching punch needle for 10 years at wool and fiber festivals nationwide.
