What motivated me to join the board was the mission of helping people who are already facing tough times. I admire how Hope is always there for those who ask for help and actively seeks ways to assist anyone and everyone they can!

💙 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐨 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐛𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫? (𝐇𝐨𝐛𝐛𝐢𝐞𝐬, 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬, 𝐞𝐭𝐜.)
In addition to serving as a board member, I am a mother and a wife. I have a 15-year-old son named Owen and a 12-year-old daughter named Amelia, and my husband’s name is Kevin. We own Hicks Insurance Agency and have been together for 17 years. Owen participates in football and wrestling, while Amelia plays travel volleyball and is also on her school’s volleyball and basketball teams, so we stay busy with sports! We also run the Dixon Jr. Dukes football program. Additionally, I am actively involved with Discover Dixon as a chamber ambassador and with the United Way of Lee County.

💙 𝐀𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧!!
I recently completed a 17-month battle with breast cancer, and I can personally attest to how incredible the center has been during my journey. The services provided were invaluable to me throughout my fight, which is why my friend Riley and I organized a t-shirt fundraiser. We donated the proceeds from those sales to Hope!
