I’m honored to announce my candidacy for Dix Hills Fire District Commissioner. Our community means everything to me, and I’m ready to continue serving in a role that supports our members, strengthens our department, and prioritizes the safety and well-being of every resident within this community.
Having lived in Dix Hills my entire life, growing up in our school system and being deeply connected to our neighbors, I’ve seen firsthand what our community wants, needs, expects and fully deserves from this fire department. This I believe has caused myself to have a unique perspective into becoming the firefighter/emt, leader, and advocate I believe I am today.
Over the past 10+ years of active service with the Dix Hills Fire Department, including 5 years serving as both Lieutenant and Captain, I’ve dedicated myself to answering the call, day or night. I’ve responded to over 10,000 EMS and fire emergency alarms, both here in Dix Hills and in our neighboring departments.
As Rescue Captain, I helped guide our department safely through the challenges of the COVID pandemic, working to protect both our members internally and our community externally. I’ve helped lead multiple large scale masscasualty drills, ensuring our preparedness if that time does come. I’ve trained 250+ members throughout the years, while helping to secure top level training equipment so our responders can always provide the best possible care to the community.
With a B.S. in Business Management, I bring not only frontline experience but also strong administrative and organizational skills, both of which are essential for the commissioner’s office.
If elected, I would be proud to serve as the first female and one of the youngest Commissioners in the history of the Dix Hills Fire Department. My commitment is simple: to serve with integrity, transparency, and a true dedication to the safety of our residents and the success of our firefighters and EMTs.
