I was honored to be asked to take part in . I loved my four years at and my family friends and St Francis was the foundation of who I am today. Our foundation honors My sons my brother My Mom and so many of our loved ones. We are so proud of the work we do at Unsung Siblings Foundation!

We are proud to announce a new series, , where we highlight special alumni who do so much for SFP and their community!

Our first guest is Danny Ryan ‘86, Ryan has helped his community and Prep by starting The Unsung Sibling Foundation.

“The Unsung Siblings Foundation provides scholarships and grants to recognize the effort and sacrifice that the family members of the special needs and veteran communities make every day.
The Foundation was inspired from within our own family:
Jonathan Ryan was diagnosed with Autism 18 years ago and ever since, his two brothers, Michael and Daniel Thomas have given up so much to ensure his success. And before his untimely passing earlier this year, Christopher Ryan dedicated his life to serving our veterans, in particular those who were homeless or suffering from substance abuse issues.
Accordingly, the Unsung Siblings Foundation distributes funding to individuals or relevant charities and non-profits to ensure that unsung heroes like Christopher, Michael, and DT are able to receive the education and opportunities they so rightly deserve.” - Unsung Siblings Foundation, Facebook

The entire Board of Unsung Siblings Foundation is proud to partner with such an amazing people and organization Paws of War. Watching the men and woman that served our country feel loved and appreciated warms all of our hearts. Thank you to our Volunteers and Donors without you none of this is possible.

From Homelessness to Hope: James’ Journey

James, a U.S. veteran who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, faced unimaginable challenges when he, his family, and his dog became homeless. Living in his car and struggling to find housing due to his pet, his situation worsened when his car broke down, leaving him without a way to attend critical VA appointments.

Paws of War and United Veterans Beacon House stepped in to cover car repairs and secure permanent housing for James, his family, and his dog. On Thanksgiving Day, they moved into their new home, fully furnished by Beacon House. Paws of War and the Unsung Siblings Foundation visited with a warm, catered Thanksgiving meal, while Unsung Siblings also provided meals to over 60 veterans in need that day.

Thanks to partners like United Veterans Beacon House and Unsung Siblings, James and so many others are getting the support they need. Together, we’re ensuring no veteran or their pet is left behind.

well, you actually did a good deal more than provide Jerry with a warm meal (4 actually -- he told me they delivered 4 dinners to him)

You let him know that there are people in this world who care about him and are looking out for his well-being.

It is my belief when someone does this sort of selfless act of kindness and giving they not only help the person involved they raise the whole world up a notch or two on the ladder of salvation
