Due to the rain and muddy conditions we made the difficulty decision to cancel our June show just after the walk class. The rain wasn’t letting up and a sever e threat was forecasted for the 3 o’clock hour. I made the decision to have the show with rain in the forecast because you can never trust the forecasts. I sincerely appreciate everyone who came and I apologize for having to cancel. Hopefully we will see you in July.

For anyone who was new and at the JCTR show yesterday, our good friend Joe Galati was taking pictures. He takes a bunch so be patient but if you friend him you can scroll through them and see your photos he does this as a hobby and doesn’t charge anything. If you see him at any shows please thank him. UPDATE: THE SHOW IS ON

Just an update about our May 16th, 2026, JCTR show. The arena is dry and dusty and can take a lot of rain. There are several models showing rain in the morning but stopping before the show. We intend on having the show unless we get more rain than expected. Watch Facebook just in case of a cancellation but we don’t expect to have to cancel.

Due to all the rain we are forced to have our JCTR show Saturday, May 16, 2026. OUR START TIME IS STILL 10 A.M Unfortunately two of the largest local shows will have their shows on the same day. The St. Clair Saddle club will also have their show on the same day, which normally starts at 1 pm, however in an effort to allow riders to go to both shows, they will have a 4 pm start time. JCTR will work hard to move our show along so those of you who want to support both clubs can make most of their show also. Please pass the word on our show rain date and also the new start time for the Saint Clair Fun Show. Hopefully both clubs will get plenty of support. Local shows work hard to provide a safe, fun place to show your horses and we want them all to survive.

I’m sorry to announce that the May 9th Jefferson County Trail Riders Club show is being called off due to muddy conditions. We will have the make up show next Saturday, May 16th. All patterns will remain the same. Sorry for the last minute call off but I didn’t want to call it off if the rain was light. Everyone enjoy Mothers Day and we hope to see you all next week.
