Here are the JCTR year end points as of August 2026. These points ONLY reflect those people/horses that have the possibility of winning a year end award. Remember that you must ride in 4 out of 6 shows in a class to be eligible. We go down 5 places in p*e wee and youth classes as well as pony halter and leadline. In adult classes we award a Grand and Reserve Champion. At our September show we will announce the winners of each class and if you win a Grand Champion Buckle you will need to fill out your personal preferences for stones as well as legibly sign your rider and horses name that might go on the buckle (that would depend on how many words will fit on the buckles.). If you spell a name wrong, it will be wrong on your buckle and we will not be able to purchase you a corrected one so make sure you check your spelling. The reserve awards will not have names.
Our awards banquet will be December 12, 2026, at the Hillsboro Civic Center at 11 a.m. Additional info on the banquet will be provided on the future. So please check the points, spellings and names and let us know if changes need to be made. We hope to see you all at the September show.

Entries will open soon on SGP. We will take cash entries onsite!!

Great News! The August 2026 show is on. Relaxed dress code like last time. In any judged class you will need a cowboy hat or helmet, Long pants, boots, collared shirt can be sleeveless, short sleeved or long sleeve. English classes won’t require a jacket. See everyone there. Pic a bone will be there with concessions. Also one of our members will have new show shirts with or without matching blankets to sell and take orders on.

Update. THE SHOW IS ON

Once again Mother Nature is trying to spoil our Fun. We have had a lot of rain but are hopeful that the sun will dry out our arena and parking enough to have our August JCTR show on schedule. I will keep you informed of a decision but I am optimistically hopeful we can have it. Stay tuned for updates.

Patterns for the JCTR August 2026 horse show. Also the judge has agreed to a relaxed dress code which means long pants/jeans, boots, cowboy hat or helmet, long or short sleeved or sleeveless collared shirts. English jackets are optional. And please pray for no rain.

We are excited that a local food truck named The Fizz Barn will be at our July show. They specialize in custom drinks and some snacks. We will still have some sub sandwiches available but encourage everyone to bring their own lunch. Be sure to visit the Fizz Farm truck for a refreshing drink and snack.

The JCTR show this Saturday, July 18th, 2026, will unfortunately not have any concessions. We had several nice people offer to cook for us but we don’t want anyone to lose money and have any products left over. So please bring your own food including beverages. We will have cold water if needed and possibly some sub sandwiches for anyone who didn’t get the word or forgot food. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Please forward this post so everyone sees it. There is a gas Station just down the road that sells chicken and sandwiches and cold beverages. Also due to the expected heat our judge has agreed to let exhibitors, in judges classes, to have a relaxed dress code. All dress rules apply except you may show in a COLLARED short sleeve or sleeveless shirt. English exhibitors still need to wear all the required English attire but no Jacket. Ball caps are not allowed in any judged class and of course long pants and boots are always required no matter what class you ride in. Again please pass this on so everyone brings food for the day.
