A moment we will never forget. ♟️🎬
The journey of the Big Chair Chess Club and the story that inspired the movie Life of a King continues to remind us how powerful chess can be in transforming lives, building discipline, and creating opportunity in our communities.
Seeing “Life of a King” recognized with an NAACP Image Awards nomination for Outstanding Independent Motion Picture was bigger than a movie moment — it was recognition of a movement rooted in mentorship, second chances, and believing in our youth.
From the streets and schools of Washington, D.C. to chessboards across the country, the legacy continues through the work of Big Chair Chess Club and the message we live by every day:
Always Think B4U Move.
This story was never just about chess.
It was about hope, strategy, redemption, and showing young people that every move in life matters.
