Ogallala Quilter's Society

Ogallala Quilter's Society Ogallala Quilter's Society was founded in 1997 with eight founding board members and $80. Each woman put in $10 for dues and "start up" postage money.

Many volunteers help put on an annual Quilt Festival that attracts hundreds of visitors each year.

There’s a lot happening in Dimmitt today! The main show is at the DHS Activity Center; the Texas Panhandle Quilters are at the Senior Citizen’s Center; the traveling exhibit “Sacred Threads” and Linda Vargas’ trunk show are at the Methodist Church; Phyllis Price is teaching a class at the Senior Citizen’s Center; Jean Grimes is teaching crochet at West Texas Coffee.
