Ogallala Quilter's Society

Ogallala Quilter's Society Ogallala Quilter's Society was founded in 1997 with eight founding board members and $80. Each woman put in $10 for dues and "start up" postage money.

Many volunteers help put on an annual Quilt Festival that attracts hundreds of visitors each year.

The main show is at the DHS Activity Center; the Texas Panhandle Quilters are at the Senior Citizen’s Center; the traveling exhibit “Sacred Threads” and Linda Vargas’ trunk show are at the Methodist Church; Phyllis Price is teaching a class at the Senior Citizen’s Center; Jean Grimes is teaching crochet at West Texas Coffee.
