What a week at Texas FFA State Convention!

This week was full of firsts, lasts, and so many memories in between. We celebrated one of our officers earning her Lone Star Degree, and one of our advisors received her Honorary Lone Star Degree. Those are moments we’ll never forget.

Throughout the week we attended business sessions, general sessions, and wrapped things up with one of everyone’s favorite traditions—Fun Night! This year’s theme, Texas Nights, Neon Lights, definitely didn’t disappoint.

We made time for exploring the Stockyards, swimming, and more than a few Target runs. There were lots of laughs, great conversations, and memories made that we’ll be talking about for a long time.

We are so proud of this group and thankful for another incredible Texas FFA Convention. Here’s to carrying everything we learned and experienced into another great year for Dime Box FFA!

A huge congratulations to our very own Heather Fritsche on earning her Texas FFA Lone Star Degree today!

The Lone Star Degree is one of the highest honors the Texas FFA Association can bestow, recognizing years of hard work, dedication, and commitment to agriculture and FFA. We are so proud of all Heather has accomplished and can’t wait to see where her future takes her.

Our CDE teams traveled to College Station early this morning to compete at our Area contest, and what a day!

Congratulations to our Entomology team for placing 13th at the area level, 3rd in district!
Our Poultry team placed 18th at the area level and 6th in district!
Our Livestock Judging team also had a great day, with several members setting personal best individual scores and placing 7th in district!

We are so proud of these members for stepping up and giving it their all. There is so much hard work that happens behind the scenes, it truly showed today!

We’d also like to say a huge thank you to Giddings FFA for helping us shuffle kids around this morning when our morning didn’t quite roll as planned. We appreciate you more than you know!
