Beaverhead Brigade

Beaverhead Brigade is proud to celebrate our community in the Labor Day Parade this weekend! 🚌💛

This year, hundreds of families have signed up for Beaverhead Brigade transportation, helping kids get to after-school programs and opportunities across 13 weekday drop locations.

A special thank-you to the YMCA for donating our buses and helping make this program possible from the very beginning, along with all of our incredible sponsors, partners and volunteers.

If you have a child age 5+ who would like to ride with us in the parade, text Sara at (406) 459-0007. We’ll have waivers available at lineup — just arrive a little early to get one completed.

Beaverhead Brigade is what happens when a community comes together to make life a little easier for families and create more opportunities for kids. We’re so grateful to be part of it.

The Dillon Jaycees Little Skiers program has officially launched.
Fresh snow, brave little skiers, and a bus full of excitement headed to Maverick Mountain.

Watching kids load the bus with their boots and helmets—some nervous, some bursting with confidence—was one of those moments that sticks with you. This is how independence and confidence start. One ride, one run, one community at a time.

So grateful to be part of a place that makes experiences like this possible for our kids. 💙

Thank you, Headwaters Foundation, for being such an incredible partner. Your leadership model around systems change—and the way you resource communities to think boldly and creatively—is second to none. It means so much to have a partner who not only equips us with what we need to do the work, but encourages us emotionally every step of the way. Nonprofit work is hard—harder in many ways than my 25 years in the for-profit world—but the rewards are immense. Your partnership makes the load lighter and the possibilities bigger. Thank you for believing in rural solutions and in the power of community.

A huge thank-you to Sara Bair and Cindy Wood for their leadership and heart in helping move the Beaverhead Brigade forward. This effort is stronger because of the people who step up for kids and families, and these two have been extraordinary partners in this work.

As you’ll hear in the national public (NPR) radio story linked below, we’re a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with one clear mission: providing safe, reliable transportation so kids can get to and from after-school activities—without added hardship or disruption for parents.

If this story speaks to you, please share it. We are actively fundraising so we can continue running buses through the end of the school year without interruption.

And don’t forget to purchase your Festival of Trees tickets!. This beautiful community event supports both the Beaverhead Brigade and the YMCA, who generously donated buses to make this service possible.
