Beaverhead Trails Coalition Beaverhead Trails Coalition works to create trails (walking, running, biking, hiking, horseback riding, non-motorized) for the community of Dillon.

Through connecting with others in our community and creating a grassroots movement we hope to increase the opportunities for all to participate in these activities in an

d around Dillon. Many others have worked hard towards these goals and we hope to build upon their efforts. Thanks to all who have contributed!! Some of our current projects include:
*Creating a trail system in the hills West of Town (the High Trails - already +10 miles of trails!)
*Creating a trail system to connect all sides of Dillon, MT
*Encouraging safe and fun walking and biking for kids through the Walking School Bus Program, installation of safe pedestrian infrastructure near local schools, and the Bike Racks program. To learn more please visit our website: beaverheadtrails.org

Some days are all the things, and yesterday was one of them!

BTC started the day with and to bike and roll to school with an amazing bike train of about 30 students.

Next we headed to the West Trailhead where 20 BCHS helped clear and build a connector trail from the trailhead to the waterworks building.

Wednesday night work night started at 5:30 and our 4 steadfast volunteers constructed an amazing switchback going up to Waterworks Ridge (no pics.)

Finally, we ended the night with our first Intro to Trail Running session. taught us about hill training and we took a lovely 4 mile run!

What a great day that encapsulated so many wonderful things about Beaverhead Trails Coalition- kids, community, volunteering, and outdoor terrarium and movement.

We'll also be hosting Intro to Trail Running @ 6:00- it's a beautiful day, let's get outside!!!
