This past Thursday, 11 of our members participated in an ag tour day. This event included going to the Gutknecht Family Farms, Stewart Duroc Farms, Deppe Angus. While at these farms, our members toured the local livestock operations, while also judging multiple different livestock classes. Members were able to learn about genetics, production, and livestock management. We wanted to give a special thank you to those who made this event possible. We are extremely proud of this year’s accomplishments and are grateful for the continued support that made the event a success. On May 3, we hosted our 4th Annual Awards Banquet, welcoming over 130 parents, students, and members. During the event, numerous members were recognized for their achievements, and our senior members were honored with scholarship presentations. We also marked an important transition as the 2025-2026 officer team concluded their term and the 2026-2027 team was officially installed.

Our annual awards night is quickly approaching! We hope to have a full house on Sunday, May 3rd to celebrate another successful year of DNH FFA. 🌟2026 Iowa FFA Leadership Conference Recap🌟

DNH FFA was represented by 33 members at the 98th Iowa FFA Leadership Conference Sunday through Monday in Ames. Members participated in 14 different competitions, activities and award areas. We are so proud of the hard work all these members put in and it was a great state convention. Here’s the results!

🥇Ag Communications CDE - Gold Rating, 11th Place overall out of 37 teams!

CONGRATS TO OUR NEW OFFICER TEAM!! 13 candidates went through the interviewing process, and out of those 13, 6 candidates were balloted and gave speeches in front of the chapter. Help us celebrate another successful year!
DNH FFA will be hosting our annual awards banquet on Sunday, May 3rd. The meal will start at 5:00 pm with the program beginning at 6:00 pm. Last week, Jenae Wenger represented DNH FFA at the State Science and Technology Fair of Iowa and the Iowa FFA Agriscience Fair. She developed and conducted an experiment entitled "Examining the Effects of pH on Green Bean Seed Germination" and shared her project with judges. This was no small feet and we're so proud of Jenae for taking on this challenge and becoming the DNH FFA member to participate in this event. Congratulations, Jenae!

⭐DNH FFA named one of the top 12 FFA chapters in Iowa! ⭐

We received exciting news over spring break! DNH FFA received a gold rating and was named one of the top 12 chapters in Iowa as part of the National Chapter Award area. The National Chapter Award area recognizes programs that excel with their local level activities in accordance with the national quality standards. A special shoutout to Olivia Klingenborg and Jaden Zedeker who completed the lengthy application! We are excited to advance to the national level and be recognized in October at the 99th National FFA Convention and Expo!
