GENERAL MEETING:
A CALL TO ACTION FOR GAMBLING PREVENTION
FRIDAY, JUNE 25TH 9:30AM-10:30AM
Since the start of the school year, the Old Colony Y has been working with teens in Taunton to take a closer look at the issues of problem gambling. Funded by the Department of Public Health’s Office of Problem Gambling Services, teens work through a curriculum focused around healthy and unhealthy risk taking, community mapping, and PhotoVoice work where they take pictures around the community based on what they have learned. This work culminated into a Call to Action piece that our youth have been tasked to share with the community. Now more than ever we need to be aware of how quarantine, lockdown, and all other forms of social distancing can impact us and our kids and adults, and our teens are hoping to take a few minutes to share their Call to Action with all who will listen!
