Just a reminder, This Sunday is our Easter Event. We will start setting up about 11-12, if you want to come help set up. We will also need help cleaning up. We got the lot mowed but still need an ant crew. I have also called for a mosquito truck to patrol the neighborhood before the event to help get rid of them.

We will be stuffing eggs Friday and any donations of eggs or candy would be appreciated. Come help stuff Friday night, we will be set up outside.

Save the Date, April 1st...Still moving forward for Easter. Flyers should be going up soon. Stay tuned. We could use everyone's help, so if you can bring anything let us know. We will be asking for homemade dessert goodies for the kids, so get out your recipes (store works fine).

So the Easter Planning meeting went well, we discussed a date of Sun, April 1st for a date. The Sunday before Easter.

Other ideas, seperate egg hunts for ages 5 and under, 5-10 and a scavenger hunt through the neighborhood for the older ones.

Also suggested was games (Sack races, ring toss, bean bag toss, etc) and refreshment tent. Either providing cookies and juice or having a small bake sale to fund our next event.

We still have to determine a location. In the center of the subdivision (Easton Glen side) There is a field on the cul-de-sac that may be easier for us to rope off and it's away from the detention area. We were worried about snakes and things. If anyone has any ideas on better location, please suggest them. The fenced in area at the front of the neighborhood has been taken down, so I assume they are going to build and that it will not be available.

We would need tape to tape off the egg hunt area and possibly balloons.

So the idea to fund this is first to ask HOA if they will provide us any funds or assist with mailing postcards. Second is getting some kids together in the neighborhood to pass out flyers and ask for $1.00 donations. Lastly is to have all attendees bring a dozen eggs filled with wrapped candy. I prefer the first and second, just so we make sure there is enough. I have tons of eggs over the years so the money collected can buy the candy. Heather-we will have to watch our coupons for deals on candy:)

If anyone has any other ideas please let us know. If anyone wants to volunteer their time or any items, we will take the help.

Easter is April 8th, What if we did our neighborhood Egg hunt on Sun. April 1st in the afternoon. What do you'll think??? Maybe we can plan a meeting Feb 7th at 6:00 pm to discuss details. I will create an event for the meeting ad we can discuss plans then.

Hello Neighbors!!!! I'm sorry this hasn't been updated in a while. My New Years Resolution is to get more active and to get more of the neighborhood to join in. We just finished Christmas and I feel terrible that we didn't get together to commit to the Christmas party. So moving on to 2012 we should meet in January and come up with a list of events we would like to host and make a calandar. I think if we can meet once a month, we can have an awesome year.

I also have been talking to a lot of people in HOA's about different things they have going on like a couponers club. etc and think these ideas would be great to discuss. I know we don't have access to our HOA funds yet, but eventually we will and if we can get organized now, we will have great momentum when that time comes.

So first things first, Let's pick a date (mid January) to hold a meeting. I think during the week for about 30-45 min. I know everyone has families and weekends are busy, so we can try to make it short and sweet. I think maybe January the 10th, 11th, 17th, or 18th. And starting at 6 or 6:30. We can meet earlier or later depending on response. Lets try to have the date picked by next week so I can make flyers to place around the neighborhood. We also need a location so if anyone wants to open up their home, let me know.

I also want to say that this year was the most Christmas lights I have ever seen up in the neighboorhood. I am so happy for all that Christmas spirit. I have to give props up to Heather's block for all the connecting lights. I try, but no-one ever connects, but we had 6 houses straight with lights this year, so yeah!!!

Lastly, if anyone has any photos they would like to post such as NNO e-mail them to [email protected] or inbox them to me and I will get them up. You can always tag them too:)

OK, The flyers are out. A little late but we'll do better next time. National Night Out is tomorrow from 6-8pm between the two front entrances. We hope everyone can make it. Spread the word about the event and this site to your neighbors. The Bike/Wagon parade begins promtly at 6 and will start in the NNO marked area. Food will be served immediately after.
