On behalf of Dr. Forrest Roth, Forrest Roth, Assistant Professor of English at DSU, we would like to invite you to an author reading!
This evening, Monday, April 13, the School of Education will be welcoming poet Sean Hill from Montana as part of our Heart River Writers’ Circle Reading Series.
Sean Hill is the author of Dangerous Goods and Blood Ties & Brown Liquor, and most recently the multi-genre collection, The Negroes Send Their Love. His poems have appeared in Callaloo, Harvard Review, The Oxford American, Poetry, Tin House, and numerous other journals. He is an Associate Professor of Creative Writing at the University of Montana and has served as the director of the Minnesota Northwoods Writers Conference at Bemidji State University since 2012. He has also received numerous awards, including fellowships from the Cave Canem Foundation, Stanford University, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
The event will start at 6:00 pm at the Beck Auditorium in Klinefelter Hall and is open to the public, free of charge. Q&A will follow the reading, and Sean will have books to sell and sign afterwards.
