YEARBOOKS ARE IN!

If you ordered a yearbook at the end of school they have arrived! You can pick up in the front office.

8am-3pm tomorrow(Friday)
8am-3pm Monday-Wednesday next week.
After that please call the school to see when someone will be there.

Crocodile Encounter Day!!!!!!

Today was a great day at Bay Colony, we had some fun visitors from Crocodile Encounter in Angleton.

We learned about the difference between crocodiles and alligators, met a blue tongue skink and even got to touch a snake!

Our 200 point AR earner, Sydney, had the special privilege of being principal for the day today and helping to supervise the assemblies.

Once again we thank you all for your support of Bay Colony PTO. Because of you we are able to bring fun days like today to the school!

These yearbooks WILL NOT be here before end of school. You must pick them up at the front office once they arrive.

Birthday Books! Today we wrapped up this years birthday books with the students who were absent on previous days.

Birthday Books is another PTO program that your support helps to fund. This school year we added another book to each of our 540 students personal library to continue their love of reading.

2025/2026 Accelerated Reader Recap:

In the 25/26 school year our great gator readers read over 17 million words!

A little break down as of May 1st:
Bay colony students took 49,854 AR tests.
1st grade read the most, earning 6,504 points.
2nd grade earned a total of 3,308 points
3rd grade earned 2,830 points!

During their reading journey this year lots of prizes were given out. Prizes included Marvin stickers, silly socks & a no shoes in class day, a book from the vending machine, lunch bunch with 2 friends, a picture with Marvin and a gator reader yard sign.

48 students hit 100 points earning a picture with Marvin.

2 students, Sydney B. In 1st grade and Chris D. In 3rd grade, were super readers earning 200 and 300 points!! They will both have something extra special next week to celebrate.

Your generous donations to Bay Colony PTO throughout the year help to make Accelerated Reader a huge success. Your continued support of PTO funds amazing programs like AR to help our gator students stay engaged and excited about reading.

We thank you for your support of this program and an amazing year!

We also send a HUGE thank you to Ms. Heilker who spearheads AR and makes it an amazing thing for students!

Silly String Day!!!!!

Our $250 earning students had the chance today to silly string a staff member of their choice!

That’s a wrap on our color run rewards. Your generous donations will continue to support PTO and Bay Colony as we finish out the year with crocodile encounter, end of year gifts & luau bounce houses, as well as heading into next school year with lots of fun planned!

Wrapping up teacher appreciation week:
Day 4 & 5: tail mix bar, hydration station and sonic drinks!

PTO would like to send a HUGE thank you to all our amazing teachers and staff. This week is just a small celebration for all of their hard work and dedication to making Bay Colony the best place for our students.

We cannot say thank you enough!
