Grant funding has been obtained to perform fuels reduction in the Weber Creek area of Po***ck Pines. The Councils are seeking qualified contractors to perform project planning, coordination and oversight. The El Dorado County Fire Safe Council is now accepting new applications for the Chipping program and Community Green Waste Dumpsters. Apply at www.edcfiresafe.org .

Chipping Program Grant Payment Received!
The long awaited grant payment for the green waste programs has been received. The contractor expects to resume chipping on Thursday or Friday, May 14th or 15th. Requests in hand will be serviced first. It is expected to take up to two weeks to complete all of these requests. New applications will be accepted starting the week of May 18th. The community green waste dumpster program will also be open for new applications on May 18th.

Green Waste Programs Suspended

The EDCFSC residential chipping and green waste programs have been suspended until further notice.

We regret that we will not be able to accept new requests for chipping or green waste dumpster service until we receive grant payments from the program grantor.

If you have recently submitted a request for chipping and have not yet been scheduled we can only offer these alternatives.

Continue to wait; we will contact you as soon as we have news.

Burn the material.

Make other arrangements to dispose of the material yourselves.

Requests for community green waste dumpster service that have already been approved will be scheduled, but no new applications will be accepted.
