Registration opened a week ago - and we've got more than 10 boats signed up!

We're already seeing a balance between veteran Transpac boats and new names who will fight to be the first to cross the finish line in Hawaii. The Transpac Race requires countless hours of dedicated planning, prep and practice for the whole crew. Teams who sign up early are getting into the Transpac mindset to be ready to rock at the starting line.

It’s 2,225 miles from Los Angeles to Honolulu, with trade winds, a full moon, and a legendary Hawaiian welcome waiting at the finish. Registration is open now for the 54th running of the world’s most iconic ocean race.

As the fleet makes their way closer to Hawaii they get a taste of tropical weather conditions that can go from blue skies and champagne sailing to squalls, rain and unpredictable winds.

It's all part of the challenge and the fun of sailing across the Pacific!

You can always tell when the fleet is leaving Catalina behind and making strides towards Hawaii. The photos start showing fewer and fewer layers of foul weather gear - out go the jackets and long sleeves, in come the shorts and sun hats!

Team Restless was the perfect example of this, soaking up the rays from the plush cockpit seating!

It's official! The Notice of Race is posted and entries are open for the 2027 Transpac.

One of the most challenging and rewarding ocean races in the world, sailors competing in the Transpac raise sail in Los Angeles and don't stop until they reach Hawaii.

“Transpac is one of the best offshore races in the world. A race towards the tropics with trade wind sailing near the finish and a special Hawaiian Aloha welcome is a sublime experience," said Alan Andrews, Commodore of the Transpacific Yacht Club. "TPYC and all of its volunteers look to build on 120 years of experience to make this Transpac even better."

Entries are open for monohulls and multihulls that meet the requirements in the NOR—vessels must be completely self-sufficient for extended periods of time, capable of withstanding heavy storms and prepared to meet serious emergencies without the expectation of outside assistance.
