Have you ever wondered where your trash really goes? 🌍

Week 4, our Waste to Solution campers toured a real landfill to see how trash becomes compost and clean energy, while our Air Quality Camp explored a mobile air monitoring lab to learn how scientists track pollution.

We’re excited to launch our Summer Camp Upcycling Challenge!

Instead of throwing something away, we challenge our campers to transform unwanted items into something useful, creative, and meaningful. 🌱

The finished projects will be showcased during our Final Presentation Day, where campers, families, coaches, and guests will be invited to vote for the People’s Choice Award. Additional awards will recognize outstanding creativity and practical, real-life solutions.

This challenge isn’t just about making something new—it’s about rethinking waste, reducing consumption, and discovering that creativity can be more valuable than buying something new.

✨ Don’t throw it away. Rethink it. Reuse it. Reimagine it.

They also learned the Seven R’s of Sustainability and gained hands-on experience in environmental stewardship through engaging classroom and field activities.
