‪The current culture pressures youth coaches to rush judgement on kids’ athletic ability and “weed out the weak.” This is very shortsighted. A primary purpose for youth sports is to foster love for the game. With nearly 3/4 kids quitting by 13, perhaps adults are misguiding them?‬

A high-five, pat on the back, thumbs up, or even a nod of approval – these are simple gestures that can help build confidence in kids. You’ll often see these signals come from teammates and coaches when they want to recognize someone for a job well done. Kids also develop self-confidence the more they learn about themselves and their abilities.

Who wants a free bat? We have 2-24in. Tball bats and 5 - 28 in 20oz baseball bats these bats are little league approved. We will give 2 away just like our page, share this post and comment PLAY BALL. Drawing February 7th. We are selling the other bats for $15. We are cheaper than Walmart!! Friendly advice I would not spend a lot on a little league approved bat. They all hit about the same.

Almost 45% of children ages 6 to 12 played a team sport regularly in 2008, according to aspen data. Now only 37% of children play regular team sports.
According to school digger there are estimated 4,500 kids k to 5th grade enrolled in Laurens County schools. The largest spring sports are baseball and softball with only 1,200 kids participating in local programs. I understand not all kids like baseball/softball. I also know some kids play baseball/softball because it’s all that is offered or promoted. A majority of the kids in the county are not active and this is not good. We need to encourage families to get involved in youth programs including sports, arts, dance, gymnastics, church just to name a few.
