This past week, Troop 55 showed up, put in the work, and made the most of every minute at summer camp! 🏕️⚜️

Our Scouts worked on merit badges, including Eagle-required badges and hobbies, developed swimming, fishing, r***e, archery, communication, and survival skills. They took on early morning adventures, completed service projects, worked toward nature awards, and earned Honor Patrol recognition. One Scout also took part in SEALs, a challenging leadership program designed to develop advanced leadership and teamwork skills.

They stayed busy, challenged themselves, learned new skills, made memories, and enjoyed an amazing week with the incredible staff at Camp Gorton.

The leaders of Troop 55 couldn’t be more proud of this group and the way they represented our small town! 💙💛

Troop had an amazing time at the 2026 Spring Camporee at Camp Woodland! 🇺🇸⛺️

With this year’s theme being America 250, our Scouts showed incredible teamwork, knowledge, leadership, and skills throughout the weekend. We are proud to share that they earned two 1st place finishes and an overall 3rd place!

What makes this even more impressive is that they accomplished this with a smaller troop and a fairly young group of Scouts. Their determination, positive attitudes, and willingness to work together truly stood out all weekend long.

Great job to all of the Scouts and leaders who worked hard and represented the troop so well. We couldn’t be more proud! 👏🇺🇸

Last night our Troop 55 scouts had an unforgettable experience sleeping aboard the historic USS Little Rock in Buffalo, NY

For those who aren’t familiar. This is a real Navy destroyer ship that’s now part of the waterfront museum. The kids got a hands on look at history exploring the ship, learning how sailors lived, and even bunking down just like the crew once did.

We are SO proud to share that our scouts received many compliments from staff about how respectful, courteous, and well-behaved Troop 55 was throughout the entire experience. That says so much about these kids and the families behind them
