We’re honored to host our weekly Compassionate Care Group at the Walker Cancer Center in Watertown — a welcoming space where cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers can come together to connect, reflect, and heal.

💜 These meetings are designed to support your whole self — emotionally, mentally, and spiritually — while surrounding you with others who truly understand the journey.

We have two spots open for our Nourish To Flourish women's breast cancer wellness retreat this weekend.

The spots include a weekend of integrative therapies such as yoga, reiki, massage, and sound therapy, and more... PLUS a weekend (for free) at the Thousand Islands Harbor Hotel.

We provide access to complementary, integrative services in the Northern New York region, benefiting cancer patients before, during, and after treatment. The program sponsors integrative, complementary sessions, as well as community events and educational resources.

What a wonderful way to connect with the Samaritan Medical Center's Walker Center for Cancer Care and share in a moment with staff, caregivers, family, and those who have become friends through your journey.

Samaritan Hope Grows Here event is open for those on their cancer journey, survivors, and caregivers. The event will feature live music, artistic activities, lunch, and patient and physician sentiments.

Boston doctors are turning to the forest for healing, literally.

Medical students and physicians at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital are stepping out of the clinic and into Harvard’s Arnold Arboretum to practice forest therapy, a guided, research‑backed way of reducing stress, improving sleep, boosting immunity, and reconnecting with the world beyond beeping monitors.

Dr. Susan Abookire is leading the movement, helping future clinicians learn that sometimes the best medicine is simply 20 minutes outside, a few times a week.

A moment to breathe.

Nature isn’t just a backdrop. It’s becoming part of the healthcare system in Boston. 🌿

Doctors spend years becoming experts in how the body works, how it can break down and how to recognize and treat various illnesses. Their training rarely involves what’s known as “nature-based medicine.” Dr. Susan Abookire has made it her mission to change that.
